Taxonomic identification of aquatic hyphomycetes in the upper Bogotá river basin (Colombia) from foam samples

Based on the fact that hyphomycetes or ingoldian fungi are microorganisms present in aquatic environments such as rivers which they involved decomposition of organic material, returning energy to higher levels trophic chain, but despite their importance, few studies have been conducted diversity and presence these ecosystems, objective this work was identify upper Bogotá river basin. This done by taking foam samples backwaters rivers, staining them with lactophenol blue observing optical microscopy based morphology conidia use taxonomic keys. A total 10 genera species were identified, 4 7 new reports for Colombian territory, demonstrates great lack knowledge we our country. Keywords: conidia; identification; fungi;
